Appellant, James H. Baucom, contends the trial court erred in denying him habeas corpus relief. The constitutional issue he raises is a familiar and current one: whether a civil judgment of forfeiture constitutes a bar to later prosecution for a criminal offense on the basis of double jeopardy.
