A jury convicted defendant, James Willer, of two counts of aggravated criminal sexual assault (Ill.Rev.Stat.1987, ch. 38, par. 12-14(b)(1) (now 720 ILCS 5/12-14(b)(i) (West 1994))) and two counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse (Ill.Rev.Stat.1987, ch. 38, par. 12-16(b) (now 720 ILCS 5/12-16(b) (West 1994))).
