A car dealer sued a customer for repairs to the customer's car. The customer counterclaimed, seeking damages for the dealer's alleged violations of Iowa's consumer credit code. The alleged violations stemmed from the customer's purchase of a new car. The customer also counterclaimed for damages because of the dealer's alleged negligence in forwarding the new car registration to the county treasurer.
