McLAUGHLIN, Circuit Judge:

David Kwong, allegedly a James Bond "wannabe," was charged with an attempt to murder Assistant United States Attorney Catherine Palmer, in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 1114, by sending her a booby-trapped briefcase. After a jury trial in the Eastern District of New York (I. Leo Glasser, Judge), Kwong was convicted and sentenced.
