Carl Green, who is serving prison sentences for a variety of federal crimes, moved under 28 U.S.C. § 2255 for vacation or correction of one of his sentences. Rejecting a contention that Mr. Green had been prejudiced in the sentencing proceedings by ineffective assistance of counsel, a magistrate judge recommended that the § 2255 motion be denied without an evidentiary hearing.
