Margaret Ryan embezzled over $700,000 from plaintiff-appellant Ronald Savin's business, Premium Finishes, Inc. ("PFI"), between May 1987 and November 1990. Ryan was PFI's treasurer during this period of time and was responsible for PFI's regular checking account ("the account") at Central Trust.
