This case is an appeal from a judgment of the Lucas County Court of Common Pleas. Appellants Brenda Knop, Frank Knop, Kristina Russell and Antoinette Russell (collectively, "the Knops") are appealing the grant of a directed verdict, rendered at the conclusion of the opening statement, as to appellees Jerry P.
