Defendant David Scheiner, a licensed podiatrist, was sentenced to fifteen months imprisonment, a $25,000 fine, and payment of $37,000 in restitution for his participation in a conspiracy to defraud various insurance companies by submitting false and fraudulent claims for medical services he purportedly rendered. The sentence was imposed by the Court after the defendant had pleaded guilty to three counts...
