This is an appeal from a conviction for the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance. Appellant was assessed eight (8) years' confinement in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division. The record before us reflects that appellant waived his right to a jury trial and pleaded guilty to the trial with the benefit of a negotiated plea bargain.
