Lebert Francis and co-defendant Neville Nicholson were tried before a jury and found guilty of two offenses: felony murder while in the commission of an aggravated assault; and, armed robbery. They filed separate notices of appeal and this case is Francis' appeal from the judgment of conviction and life sentences entered by the trial court on the jury's guilty verdicts.
