This matter is before the Court on the defendant's motion to dismiss the indictment on the grounds that his Sixth Amendment right to a speedy trial has been violated. For the reasons stated below, the defendant's motion is denied. However, a violation of a provision of the Speedy Trial Act, 18 U.S.C. § 3161(j)(2), has occurred, and therefore the defendant's court-appointed attorney...
