Plaintiff appeals a summary judgment for defendant in this action arising out of an automobile accident. The trial court granted defendant's motion on the ground that plaintiff had not adequately served defendant pursuant to former ORCP 7 D(4)1 or ORCP 7 D(1)2 within the period of the statute of limitations.
