Dan D. Daniel pled guilty to voluntary manslaughter. I.C. § 18-4006(1). Daniel was sentenced to a unified term of ten years, with a minimum period of incarceration of three and one-half years. Daniel claims on appeal that the district court erred in finding he was competent to understand the nature of the proceedings against him and to assist in his own defense.
