Trial of this matter was held July 17, 1995 in Lafayette, Louisiana. The evidence at trial demonstrated that on the morning of July 23, 1993, Darrel Landry drove off the road of U.S. 90 westbound in Iberia Parish, Louisiana and was killed in a one-vehicle accident.
