THOMAS, Justice.

We must decide whether homeowners who have part of their land taken by power of eminent domain for a highway construction project must be compensated for the diminution in value to the remainder caused by traffic increases. A jury awarded John and Marie Heal $50,000 in damages for the land taken and the diminution in value to their remaining residential property.
