BROOKSHIRE, Justice.

On September 10, 1993, the appellant was charged by indictment with the felony offenses of theft and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. The indictment included enhancement paragraphs alleging prior felony convictions for burglary of a motor vehicle and theft.
