Appellant, Gale Lawrence Pearson ("Lawrence"), filed a complaint for divorce against respondent Thomas M. Pearson ("Pearson"). In an atmosphere of hostility between the parties, the district court issued a divorce decree and a temporary order of custody requiring both parties to submit reports regarding permanent custody.
