This is an appeal from a default judgment entered by the district court for the Southern District of Indiana. The district court applied the fugitive disentitlement doctrine to bar the claimant-appellant from contesting the forfeiture of the defendant funds. In this action, filed pursuant to 18 U.S.C. § 981, we are called upon to decide whether that doctrine should be expanded to apply to civil forfeitures to bar fugitive-claimants...
