Victor L. Gaines was charged by bill of information with armed robbery, a violation of LSA-R.S. 14:64, and first degree robbery, a violation of LSA-R.S. 14:64.1. He pled not guilty and filed a motion to quash for misjoinder or, alternatively, a motion to sever offenses, which were denied by the trial court. A jury found defendant guilty as charged.
