Linda Courville ("Courville") commenced this action for damages on behalf of her minor son, Richard Ypina ("Ypina"), against the Town of Barre, Massachusetts (the "Town") and the Town's Chief of Police, Michael Ryder ("Ryder"), alleging a violation of Ypina's civil rights, under federal and Massachusetts law, and related state law claims.
