SHEPHERD, P.J.

Defendant was originally charged with second-degree murder, MCL 750.317; MSA 28.549, for the death of Lisa Marie Eagling as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile collision on March 23, 1989. Following a jury trial, defendant was convicted of the lesser included offense of involuntary manslaughter, MCL 750.321; MSA 28.553, and sentenced to a prison term of eight to fifteen years. Defendant now appeals as of right, and we affirm.
