CORRIGAN, J.

Defendant was charged with second-degree murder, MCL 750.317; MSA 28.549, stemming from the stabbing death of Cathern Young, the aunt of his estranged wife. Following a jury trial, defendant was convicted of the lesser included offense of voluntary manslaughter. MCL 750.321; MSA 28.553. Defendant subsequently pleaded guilty of being an habitual offender, third offense, and was sentenced to twenty to thirty years in prison. Defendant now appeals by delayed...
