Defendant Otis Edwards, as well as codefendants Lennon Hayes and Rodney Wilson, was charged by way of indictment with first-degree murder, conspiracy, attempted armed robbery, and armed violence. Defendant alone was charged with the offense of solicitation. On October 20, 1990, following a bench trial, defendant was acquitted of all offenses except solicitation. Codefendant...
