After a joint trial before separate juries, defendants were found guilty of aggravated criminal sexual assault (Ill.Rev.Stat. 1987, ch. 38, par. 12-14(a)), and unlawful restraint. (Ill.Rev.Stat.1987, ch. 38, par. 10-3(a).) The trial court vacated the finding on the unlawful restraint charge and sentenced both defendants on the aggravated criminal sexual assault charge.
