The defendant, Curtis Walter1 a/k/a Lorenzo Theall, was charged by bill of information with theft of a value of $500.00 or more, in violation of LSA-R.S. 14:67. He pled not guilty and, after trial by jury, was found guilty as charged. Thereafter, the State filed a habitual offender bill of information and, after a hearing, the defendant was adjudicated a fourth felony habitual offender. He received a sentence of thirty...
