Defendant, Albert Smith, pleaded guilty to one count of aggravated criminal sexual abuse in 1988. (Ill.Rev.Stat.1987, ch. 38, par. 12-16.) Smith was sentenced to four years' probation, a condition of the probation being that he serve a term of periodic imprisonment. Smith's probation was revoked in 1992, due to his failure to comply with its terms. (Ill.Rev.Stat.1991, ch. 38, par. 1005-6-4.) Smith was sentenced to...
