At approximately 2:00 a.m. on June 15, 1991, in Sonoma County, California, Linda Aquilina was riding on the back of Kenneth Lazio's motorcycle when he crashed. Both Ms. Aquilina and Mr. Lazio suffered fatal injuries as a result of the accident. Ms. Aquilina's estranged husband, Gerald Aquilina, and her daughter's guardian, Joan Ross, then sued Mr. Lazio's estate in Sonoma Superior Court seeking damages for wrongful death. Plaintiff...
