Defendant, Roberto Popoca, appeals the order of the circuit court denying his petition for post-conviction relief (Ill.Rev.Stat. 1991, ch. 38, par. 122-1 et seq.). Defendant argues that the circuit court erred in finding he was not denied the effective assistance of trial counsel who failed to interview occurrence witnesses and failed to present an expert to support defendant's defense of intoxication.
