SAFFELS, District Judge.

This matter is before the court on the plaintiffs' post-trial motion for prejudgment interest (Doc. 230). For the reasons stated below, the plaintiff's request for an award of prejudgment interest is denied.

The jury awarded the plaintiffs $556,000 in compensatory damages for the negligent actions of the defendants on November 21, 1990, on the basis of diminution of value to plaintiffs' plane....
