MEMORANDUM OPINION AND ORDER

HAIGHT, District Judge:

This case is before the Court on defendants' motion for separate trials and bifurcation of discovery pursuant to Fed. R.Civ.P. 42(b). For the reasons stated below, the motion is granted.

BACKGROUND

This action arises out of an altercation that occurred between the plaintiffs and several of the defendants on April 30, 1989, outside Yankee Stadium in the Bronx.
