This case is one of first impression. We must decide whether pre-judgment interest, in the form of delay damages as provided under Pa.R.C.P. 238, applies to the period of time between a trial ending in a mistrial as the result of inadmissible testimony offered by a witness for the plaintiff as the first terminus and the jury verdict in the second trial as the second terminus.
