Waterman Steamship Corporation and Amsouth Bank filed this limitation of liability proceeding after a fire erupted in the engine room of the S/S Stonewall Jackson. The fire resulted in the deaths of six persons, the estates of whom have filed claims under the Jones Act and DOHSA.
