After his pretrial motion to suppress evidence was overruled, appellant pleaded guilty to possessing more than four ounces but less than five pounds of marihuana. Controlled Substances Act, Tex. Health & Safety Code Ann. § 481.121 (Pamph.1992). Pursuant to a plea bargain agreement, the district court assessed punishment at imprisonment for ten years and a $1000 fine, but suspended imposition of punishment and placed appellant on probation.
