This is an appeal by East Jefferson General Hospital from an adverse judgment in a medical malpractice action brought by John A. Williams and his wife, Ella. The trial judge fixed total damages to plaintiffs at $583,000, and found the hospital liable for 60% of this amount. For the following reasons, we reduce the amount of damages by $10,000, and further reduce the percentage of fault attributable to the hospital from 60% to 20%. In all other respects...
