On May 22, 1985, the plaintiff, Ronald Dixon, instituted a lawsuit seeking damages for injuries he sustained in a May 16, 1985, motor vehicle accident. After undergoing several amendments, Dixon's complaint ultimately named Kevin Hauser, Chicago and North Western Transportation Company (North Western), and American Motors Corporation, American Motors Sales Corporation, and Jeep Corporation (the Jeep defendants)...
