On New Years Eve day, December 31, 1986, at about 2:30 p.m. C.S.T., Michael W. Sonnemaker, the plaintiff's decedent, left his office to begin a flight from Peoria, Illinois to Orlando, Florida. He flew a Cessna Centurion airplane he owned jointly with his father and others. The co-pilot on the flight was David Groff and the two passengers who embarked in Peoria were Sonnemaker's wife...
