This is an appeal by the City of San Benito, defendant in the trial court, from a judgment which was rendered for plaintiffs in a wrongful death action. We reverse and render.

Calixtro Cantu, Sr., individually and on behalf of the Estate of Calixtro Cantu, Jr., and his wife, Maria Teresa Cantu, individually ("the Cantus") filed suit against the City of San Benito ("the City") and Cameron County Irrigation District...
