Plaintiff, Vera Fields, the mother of Taalib Fields, brought this action on her own behalf after her son was struck and injured by defendant's motor vehicle on November 29, 1989. Her son's bodily injury claims have been settled, but plaintiff asserts her own right to recover, under several different theories.
