Defendant, Henry Chandler, was convicted of burglary (Ill.Rev.Stat.1989, ch. 38, par. 19-1(a)) and, because he had two prior Class 2 felony convictions, was sentenced to an enhanced term of six years' imprisonment as a Class X offender (Ill.Rev.Stat. 1989, ch. 38, par. 1005-5-3(c)(8)).
