This appeal arises from the denial of a request for relief from a final judgment pursuant to section 2-1401 of the Illinois Code of Civil Procedure. Ill.Rev.Stat.1989, ch. 110, par. 2-1401.

Petitioner, J.C.H. (husband), sought a dissolution of marriage from respondent, C.L.H. (wife), and on March 8, 1988, the trial court entered a judgment for dissolution of the marriage which incorporated a property settlement...
