Presently facing this Court is what appears to be an issue of first impression in the Fourth Circuit. Defendant in this case is charged by way of a Criminal Complaint and Affidavit with the offenses of possessing an unregistered firearm in violation of 26 U.S.C. § 5861(d) (in this case a sawed-off shotgun), and being a felon in possession of a firearm in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 922...
