DUDLEY, Justice.

Appellant, Glen Collins, was found guilty of first degree murder and sentenced to life in prison. We affirm the judgment of conviction.

For his first point of appeal, appellant argues that his right to a speedy trial was violated. The time for appellant's trial began running on the date of his arrest, July 24, 1988. A.R.Cr.P. Rule 28.2(a). A defendant is entitled to have the charges against him dismissed with an absolute bar to prosecution...
