Jose Machado works for the United States Postal Service. In April 1987 he sought a transfer and his request was denied. Due to that denial, he now brings this action pursuant to Title VII, 42 U.S.C. § 2000e et seq., alleging discriminatory treatment in employment based on his national origin.
