LANSING, Judge.

In this employment defamation and reprisal discrimination action, the jury and the trial court awarded compensatory and punitive damages and the trial court assessed a civil penalty. The employer challenges the jury's basis for finding defamation and an implied covenant of good faith and fair dealing, the trial court's finding of reprisal discrimination, and the amount and propriety of compensatory and punitive damages.
