Shortly before midnight on 9 September 1986, someone shot and killed Michael Bucino in the parking lot of the 602 Club in Laurel, Maryland. Jeffrey Sims claims that he was not present and did not shoot Bucino, but a jury in the Circuit Court for Anne Arundel County found to the contrary and convicted him of murder in the second degree.
