Angelo P. Haynes was found guilty of First Degree Murder following a jury trial, and a sentence of life imprisonment was imposed. The victim was a 53 year old woman, Eddilee Sims, whose death resulted from stabbing and strangulation. She was the mother of Mr. Haynes' friend.
