On November 23, 1988, following a jury trial in the circuit court of McLean County, defendant Tony Lee Logston was convicted of aggravated battery in that, in committing a battery, he knowingly caused bodily harm to a person "on or about a * * * public place of accommodation or amusement," here, the Winner's Lounge.
