The plaintiffs, William and Del Callas, brought this products liability action against the defendants ("the manufacturers") to recover for the damages sustained when the heat pump in their mountain resort home failed. The court referred the case to Magistrate B. Waugh Crigler pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 636(b)(1)(B) for the disposition of certain motions.
