One of the definitions of "settlement" is "[t]o fix or resolve conclusively; to make or arrange for final disposition." Black's Law Dictionary 713 (abridged 5th ed. 1983). The "settlement" reached in these cases defies that definition. This Court is being asked, post-settlement, to resolve conclusively how the final disposition of this suit should appear. The problem is not the parties to the settlement...
