In this appeal, Joel Tiller, petitioner-appellant, challenges the district court's denial of his petition for writ of habeas corpus. In 1969, Tiller, age 16, pleaded guilty to malice murder and one count of burglary. Tiller contends that his procedural due process rights, as enunciated in Pate v.
